Israel

Hillel cultivates among Jewish students a passion about Israel and a sense of personal attachment with the country and its people. Hillel provides all students opportunities to learn about Israel and its central role in defining the Jewish experience today and provides a safe space for students to express a wide spectrum of views regarding their relationships with Israel.

IsraelFest

Two years ago, we launched the first-ever IsraelFest at Georgia State University in Library Plaza and it has grown!  Jewish students from Georgia State University worked together to present a taste of Israel to the campus community and over 300 people stopped by our boothes.

Please email Ginny Adams for more information about getting involved!

Other opportunities on campus:

Check back here for new opportunites on campus.  We often bring in guest speakers or do activities to increase awareness about important issues.  This past year we have also:

  • Hosted The David Project, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring strong voices for Israel through education, siminars and workshops.  They conducted two workshops on campus in Fall 2009:  Understanding the Apartheid Anaology and Missed Opportunities for Peace.
  • Wrote letters of support to IDF soldiers stationed in Sderot.
  • Worked with Young Judea to conduct workshops about Israeli music.
